Tyler, the Creator Arrested For Doing What He...
so Odd Future Kingpin Tyler, The Creator has been arrested by the L.A PD for vandalizing sound property during his show at The Roxy in Los Angeles.
1. Tyler always vandalizes, it is part of his schtick. It is getting pretty old and I’m glad, I’d be pissed if someone smashed my speakers.

Animal Collective go into the studios for the new...
The Baltimore Crazies are hopping back in the studio, and an interview with the Baltimore Sun shows that Animal Collective have about ten songs ready for the new album.
Will it be as good as Merriweather Post Pavillion? Will it get as many newbies saying “Oh yah I love Animal Collective”…and then have them not know a fucking song?
My bet is No…and then Yes
Either way...

Kanye West walks around Occupy Wall Street
Yup…you heard me, he literally walked around. Hip-Hop veteran Russel Simmons, and intergalactic superstar Kanye West, who just recently released an album solely based on his wealth and his Basquiat paintings, decided to walk around during Occupy Wallstreet.
This is stupid, and in my opinion a blatant example of an artist using a situation to his advantage. The guy doesn’t even speak...

This isn't actually happening... Yet
I am a little bit sad to share this tidbit of news with you, but unfortunately Blakroc 2, the hip-hop + rock n’ roll collaborative album between The Black Keys and Damon Dash, is not actually happening just yet.
Drummer Patrick Carney was on Atlanta’s 92.9 Dave fm and said that the trailer for Blackroc 2 was actually an unauthorized trailer, and that there is no plan as of yet to...
Back To The Music
Sorry for not being uploading that much this week. My internet provider (Telus) is lazy and wish to mail me a new router… from the same city that I live in, rather than just deliver one to my door.
I will be updating much more consistently now that the internet is back and running strong.

Drake's Next Album Cover
So the album cover for Drake’s Take Care has been released, and I’m not really sure what to think of it.
Lots of Gold, and of course Mr. Drizzy just hanging out. Either this is a metaphor for something deeper than I can comprehend just from the cover…which would be awesome, or Drake has allowed Cash Money to get deep inside his inner psyche. Here’s hoping on the...
Megafaun release new album
North Carolina folk rockers Megafaun released their self-titled album. It is darn good and I highly suggest you take a listen.
Rich textures of strings, impressive harmony ladened vocals, and monumental sounds are what make Megafaun a solid band, but the fact that they are only a trio is what makes them great.
ninedaywonder asked: Dude great Blue Scholars piece. That show was off the heezy. No further questions.

Thursday September 15th
Goooooood Morning,
I know it is a little late in the morning, but it is still morning!
Last night myself and a group of friends took in a hip-hop show at Club 560 in Vancouver, and it was sensational. Headliners BLUE SCHOLARS, and openers Bambu & SOL, played an energetic sets. The crowd was a little bit on the young side, but a positively rambunctious set nonetheless.
We got up with both...

I believe that anyone can make music with a little bit of practice. We all have...
– Music will expand your mind in ways you can never imagine. All it takes is a little imagination and free thought. The best thing about it is that you can start at any age! I started playing piano at 18 years old. I met a man in Glacier National Park who started playing the Harp at 40 and by 50 he...

R.I.P DJ Mehdi
Confirmed by Ed Banger Records
Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, more commonly known as DJ MEHDI, has passed away.
Mehdi was throwing a party at his house when the roof collapsed, fatally injuring him and hospitalizing the other two.
DJ Mehdi was a sensational DJ, that aside from working on solo albums, also produce great music with Ideal J, 113, Karlito, and others.
My thoughts go out to all those...

Seattle Centre, Seattle, Washington
To say that I enjoyed myself at Bumbershoot would be an understatement. In their four years co-producing the event, One Reel & AEG Live have truly achieved something special. Bumbershoot is a music festival that incorporates numerous venues inside the seventy-four-acre Seattle Centre during the labour...
